Yvonne Boice to present at first Women's Leadership Institute.

Disparities in women's rights and
freedoms around the world will be examined at the inaugural presentation of the Women's Leadership Institute on Global Issues on Friday, Oct. 3 at Palm Beach Community College in Boca Raton.

The first session will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. in Room 103 of the Countess de Hoernle Humanities and Technology Building at PBCC's Boca Raton campus. Yvonne S. Boice, president of Fugazy International Travel in Boca Raton, will provide a presentation on "Women: Basic Rights and Freedom -- Comparing and Contrasting Women's Lives Around the World."

The presentation is open to the public, and the admission fee is $10. PBCC faculty, staff and students may attend free of charge.

The Women's Leadership Institute on Global Issues was developed by PBCC in concert with local chapters of the American Association of University Women and Zonta International. Dr. Bernadette M. Russell, campus provost, credits her advisory committee of community leaders and representatives with helping to identify the educational needs and ways to address those needs.

Possible topics for future institute sessions include business and medical issues, women and violence, and emotional wellness. For more information on the institute, please call (561) 862-4401.
