When: Friday, August 3 to Sunday, August 5. Arrive in Key West any time on Friday. The boat to the Dry Tortugas departs at 8:00 am on Saturday morning and returns at 5:30 pm on Saturday evening. It is about a four-hour drive to Key West from Hollywood.

What: This event is a weekend-long activities weekend in Key West featuring our centerpiece activity, the Dry Tortugas excursion aboard the Sunny Day Fast Cat. We will also have the option to visit the Hemingway House, the Key West Aquarium, the Conch Train Tour, Sunset Festivities at Mallory Square, a Ghost Tour of Old Key West, and much more! Here's the daily breakdown of what's going on…

Friday- Arrive in Key West any time on Friday and enjoy the remainder of the day and/or evening out on the town
in Key West.

Saturday- On Saturday morning, we'll hop aboard the Sunny Days Fast Cat to the Dry Tortugas. This high speed catamaran will ferry us to the Dry Tortugas National Park, 70 miles west of Key West. Explore historic Fort Jefferson, America's largest coastal fort, snorkel the pristine reefs, and explore the island. The Dry Tortugas is one of the most inaccessible National Parks. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this remote treasure. The cost is $115 per person (plus $5 National Park entrance, and must be purchased on your own online at www.sunnydayskeywest.com We have spaces held till July 18 at this discount price, so reserve by then if you want to go on this one-day excursion. The boat WILL sell out at least one week prior, so advance reservations are required. You are welcome to join us for the Key West trip even if you do not go to the Dry Tortugas, and hang out on your own in Key West during the day on Saturday. After returning from the Dry Tortugas, we'll head back to our motel room, relax by the pool for a while (or take naps), get showered and dressed (in shorts or tropical wear, of course, it's Key West!), and head out on the town for dinner and nightlife.

Sunday- Check out of the motel rooms, and enjoy Key West on your own, or with the group, until you're ready to head back home.

Directions to Hotel: Take US 1 south till you get to Key West. As you come onto the island of Key West, turn right (following US 1) and the Comfort Inn is about a quarter mile down on the left.

Carpool: Try to arrange carpools on your own with your friends or roommates based on your desired departure and return times from and to your home. If you can not make suitable arrangements, contact Rick, who will try to put you in contact with someone else who has not arranged carpool on their own. The designated carpool site will be the Holiday Inn in Hollywood. Take I-95 to Sheridan Street (exit #21), go west on Sheridan to the first light (N. 29 Ave.), turn right (north) and make the first left into the Holiday Inn. Meet in the parking lot on the right side of the hotel as you're facing the hotel. Meeting time will have to be arranged on a personalized basis.

Bring: Whatever you need to enjoy a weekend in Key West. For the Dry Tortugas trip, bring hat, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel and camera. Snorkeling gear is provided, so only bring it if you prefer your own.

Cost: $85 Mosaic members, $90 non-members. This cost is for the room only, at the Comfort Inn, Key West, for two nights, based on four people in a room, sharing two queen beds. between Boca Raton Community Hospital and Town Center

of August, an exercise physiologist from Boca Raton
Community Hospital will be at the open area of the mall in
front of Neiman Marcus, assisting with registration. When
you join the Boca on the Move Walking Program - you will receive a free
pedometer, a walking log, instructions on proper stretching techniques, and
a healthy walking plan.

As part of the Boca Festival Days festivities, on Tuesday, August 7,

BOCA RATON, Fla. Gigi's Tavern at Mizner Park in Boca Raton has introduced a Five Course Tasting Menu that gives guests an opportunity for an extraordinary culinary and dining experience, one that will impress even the most discerning palate.

This unique culinary experience begins when the chef visits your table, removes the menus and inquires if there are any dietary limitations or specific taste preferences. All decisions and selections are then made in the kitchen. Each course is individually presented at the table by the chef who describes the dish. While this creative menu changes every day, following is an example of what was served at a recent tasting:

Bon Festival Overview
Inspired by Obon, Japan's traditional three-day holiday honoring ancestors and thanking them for the quality of life enjoyed by the living, The Morikami celebrates Bon Festival in one fun-packed evening. Highlights include rousing taiko drum performances, traditional Japanese folk dancing with audience participation, and a street fair with games and vendor booths. The highlight of the evening begins at sunset when Morikami Pond is transformed into a tranquil sea of lighted lanterns which, in accordance with Japanese custom, guide the departure of ancestors' souls who have come for a brief visit among the living. A special fireworks display caps the enchanting evening.

Regular admission is $10 Adults (18 and over), $5 children (7-17), free for museum members and children 6 and under. (No special senior discounts are available) Advanced Group Rates are available -
Food
There will be on-site food vendors serving a variety of food items. The Morikami's own Cornell Cafe will also be open and serving Pan-Asian favorites.

Lantern Sales
Lantern sleeves for the Toro Nagashi (lantern floating) ceremony will be on sale starting at 5pm the night of the event. The cost is $5 per sleeve and is the perfect way to honor and remember a lost loved one. There is a limited amount of sleeves available and they cannot be purchased in advance. Make sure to get yours early in the evening as they sell out every year!

What: Come join Mosaic in Margaritaville (Key Largo) for a day of canoeing in the crystal clear waters of John Pennekamp State Park. Paddling is a natural for exploring our sensitive environment, a good form of exercise, a great way to relax and unwind from our everyday rituals, and of course to meet new friends and see old ones. We will have a full day. Paddle thru the mangrove's winding trails, across tidal flats, out along the Atlantic's edge, then to John Pennekamp State Park for a relaxing lunch break. We will see wading birds as well as creatures from the sea. Kayaks are available for an extra charge if you'd prefer. Enjoy a relaxing sunset dinner in the Keys before heading back to the mainland.

Where: Florida Bay Outfitters. Mile marker #104, 104050 Overseas Highway, Key Largo. Take US 1 south to mile marker 104. Look for the outfitters on the right hand side, just past the Caribbean Club. You will see canoes and kayaks. Telephone 305-451-3018.

Bring: Hat, sunscreen, brown bag lunch, water bottle, money for dinner afterward, change of clothes & towel if you want to shower after the paddle (showers are at the outfitter).

Directions to the Outfitter: Take the Florida Turnpike south to the end, where it feeds onto US 1 south, then take US 1 south to mile marker 104, and Florida Bay Outfitters will be on the right.

Carpool: Meet at the Holiday Inn in Hollywood. Take I-95 to Sheridan Street (exit #21), go west on Sheridan to the first light (N. 29 Ave.), turn right (north) and make the first left into the Holiday Inn. Meet in the parking lot on the right side of the hotel as you're facing the hotel. Meet at 8:45. We will leave at 9:00 am sharp!

Cost: $26 members, $31 non-members. Cost includes canoe, snacks, and shuttle from the outfitter. If you'd prefer to kayak, they are available for an additional charge. August 10, 2007: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) begins
construction on 2.5 miles of SR A1A in Delray Beach from south of Linton
Blvd to north of George Bush Blvd on August 13, 2007.

Restriction: There will be alternating lane closures throughout the
project corridor, 7:00 am until 6:00 pm Monday, August 13th through
Friday, August 17th. Flaggers will be onsite to assist motorists.

This $8.4 million construction project includes milling and repaving the
existing roadway, pedestrian path upgrades, and drainage improvements.
The project is being built by Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. and
is expected to be complete October 2008. Construction will be suspended
from November 15, 2007 until March 31, 2008.

The Boca Raton Singers, a not for profit organization, will be holding auditions each Monday evening in the choral room of Spanish River High School on Jog Road and Yamato in Boca Raton. The 30 member male and female chorus sings in four part harmony and performs at various venues in the area including Kravis Center in September. Rehearsals take place at Spanish River High School on Monday nights from 7-9 PM. Registration is $50 per season. You will be judged on vocal blending, sight reading and pitch precision. Boca on the Move is a collaborative Mall Walking Program
between Boca Raton Community Hospital and Town Center
at Boca Raton. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-
10:30am throughout the year and throughout the month
of August, an exercise physiologist from Boca Raton
Community Hospital will be at the open area of the mall in
front of Neiman Marcus, assisting with registration. When
you join the Boca on the Move Walking Program - you will receive a free
pedometer, a walking log, instructions on proper stretching techniques, and
a healthy walking plan.

As part of the Boca Festival Days festivities, on Tuesday, August 7,
Tuesday August 28th and Thursday, August 30 from 8:30am-12:00 noon,
the Boca on the Move Program will offer FREE blood pressure, cholesterol
and BMI screenings. Stop by and register for the Boca on the Move
